Toyota European Retailers Meeting
Team Extreme recently performed at the Toyota European Retailer Meeting in London's ExCel arena. The 6 man team consisted of our top flatlanders, BMX jump ramp riders and Danny Aldrige on inline skates. The show was incorporated within a live car stunt arena where the riders ride and jump over Toyota cars to audiences of 6000.
HUB Festival 2008 Liverpool 17-18 May Team Extreme were part of the HUB 08 Festival in Liverpool. The UK's largest Urban Youth Festival attracted 23,000 people over the two days and saw a whole range of urban arts including grafitti, breakdance, trials biking, streetball and live bands on stage.
Our vert ramp was next to the stage and saw displays and public participation all weekend. Central to the site was the Team Extreme custom built skatepark including jump box, massive wall ride, wembley gap driveway, vert wall ramp and a range of other obstacles. The skatepark played host to Inline, Skateboard and BMX competitions with trophies and cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd plus prizes down to 10th place.
A great weekend was had by all and the standard of competitors was definately up. We even recruited a few nex BMX riders fromt he competition winners. More photos soon...
Outer Hebridies Our halfpipe team were in Stornoway in the Outer Hebridies earlier this year where they performed vert halfpipe displays to the people on the island. The shows were very popular and most people in the town came to watch. The three days spent travelling to get there was well worth it for the amazing people and surroundings.
New Shows for 2008
Thorpe Park
Team Extreme performed at Thorpe Park over easter as part of an amazing extreme sports weekender. Despite interruptions from snow and strong winds we performed some amazing displays on mini ramp, jump box, halfpipe and coached over 100 young people through the weekend.
Dirty Sanchez visited the park on the friday and challenged Jack Tonge to a game of SKATE. Jack won with ease, making all tricks except one in the 'add a trick' game.
Team Extreme will be touring Butlins venues around the UK during all school holidays this year. The team will be performing on the mini ramp and running coaching workshops at each Butlins venue, one day each week.

Chris Mahoney performed backflip 180's, tailwhips and other mini ramp stunts for the press and Chinese Olympic athletes. The event took place in Oxford Street, London, onboard an extremely narrow ramp resembling a bath tub built onto the back of a truck.

Team Extreme performed for audiences at the 2007 BBC Sports
Personality of the year. The show incorporated
a choreographed routine featuring BMX, skateboarding, inline
skating, basket ball, break dancers and football skills.

Sam Foakes - the UK's No.1 Flatland BMXer
Sam Foakes has been amazing the BMX flatland world for a number
of years now with innovative flatland tricks and unbelievable
control. During the summer Sam won the 2007 National Flatland Series
so is
officially the top rider in the UK. Sam is on fire right now
and was a crowd favourite at the
Ministry of Fun day
in Telford recently.

video clips. Descriptions are very detailed and the tricks
range from basic
bunny hops and wheelies to more advanced hang 5's. Click

Former Team Extreme riders win silver
and gold at X Games
X Games 13, the biggest contest in extreme sports took place recently in Los
Angeles, California. Former Team Extreme BMXers: Jamie Bestwick and Simon
Tabron cleaned up placing 1st and 2nd consecutively in BMX vert. Simon
pulled a move never seen before, two back to back 900's! Well done guys!
Team Extreme have were busy throughout last
summer, performing at a range of events throughout the UK. Including
vert shows in Littlehampton, Manchester and Sunderland,
opening a new concrete skatepark in Herne Bay,
skatepark competitions in Selby and Sunderland,
Dairylea DFA events at the Sunderland
Air show and Nottingham Riverside Festival. National
Play Day in Carlisle, and we have also
just completed 8 days of coaching workshops the World
Scout Jamboree in Chelmsford Essex. Check

RESULTS FROM BMX MASTERS 07, GERMANY
The Masters is the world championships of BMX, Team Extreme performers did
very well at last years contest held in Cologne, Germany. Ben Wallace: 1st Braun Spine Ramp, 2nd Pro
Street. Matt Fairbairn: 2nd Pro Vert (beating non
other than Matt Hoffman!) Sam Foakes: 3rd Pro Flatland
Unfortunately, two of our top riders picked up injuries at the contest: Chris
Mahoney broke his foot and Mark Webb broke his arm in 3 places attempting a
900 on mini ramp! Both guys are on the mend now and back in action ready for the 2008 season.
TOUR DE FRANCE OPENING
Four of our best flatland BMXers performed at the opening ceremony of the London
Stage of the Tour De France last summer. The opening took place in Trafalgar
Square and included a flatland display choreographed with street dancers
on a circular stage in front of the National Gallery.
